Founded in 1909, the California Art Club is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization built on the foundation of promoting and supporting contemporary-traditional fine art. As one of the oldest, largest, and most active art organizations in the country, the CAC is committed to keeping traditional art alive and believe that our unique outreach programs will continue to attract new generations of artists and patrons alike.

Her painting, “Malibu Winter Sunset, View from My Bedroom,” was selected to be the cover for the CAC publication, California Light: A Century of Landscapes (Paintings of the California Art Club).

Pastel Society of America

www.pastelsocietyofamerica.org

Founded in 1972 by Flora B. Giffuni, Pastel Society of America (PSA) — the oldest existing pastel society in America — is largely responsible for the current renaissance of pastels in American art. The society’s annual exhibitions at The National Arts Club in New York are the premier event for pastel artists in this country and abroad. Pastel Society of America encourages artistic advancement through prestigious awards distributed during its annual exhibitions. Pastelists showing technical acumen and creative use of pastel techniques are awarded prizes for their achievements. Members winning three cumulative awards are named PSA Master Pastelists. Each year one noted artist is elected into PSA’s Hall of Fame.

In recent years, PSA has been honored guests in exhibitions in Italy, France, Russia and China.

Portrait Society of America

www.portraitsociety.org

The Portrait Society was formed in 1998 as a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to increase aesthetic and technical knowledge of the practicing portrait artist, artist’s representatives, art students, and the general public. Since then, we have grown to a membership of nearly 3,000. Each year we host hundreds of artists at educational events, workshops, and conferences; mail thousands of copies of International Artist Magazine and our own The Art of the Portrait Journal to artists around the globe; provide support for emerging artists; and connect communities of artists through our State Ambassador Outreach Program.

Many of our programs are available at a discounted or free rate to high school and college age students, as we strive to support and provide educational access to coming generations of artists.
