I shall not be moved

He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.

I came upon this scene at Leo Carrillo beach, where I most often paint seascapes. As I was looking down from the cliff, I saw this little boy, standing in the water as the tide came in. The scripture from Psalm 62:6 came to mind. The boy stands in the midst of swirling waters and turbulence, but maintains his stance.

Standing firm in one’s faith is the goal for all believers. Knowing God’s Word is the key; therefore, I added the above scripture into the painting. The line of Hebrew text shown here contains the word Yeshua (“salvation,”), which is also the Name of the Messiah.
