Conchita O’Kane is a beautiful woman and accomplished California Art Club painter. We were together with other artists painting live models posing as Brunhilde and Siegfried for the Wagner Ring Cycle event. Conchita struck this pose during a break, while Peter Adams was regaling us with the story line of the opera that we were depicting. The block-in of her painting of Brunhilde is shown behind her head.
This painting was featured in the CAC Gold Medal Show at the Pasadena Museum of California Art in Pasadena, CA, which opened on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
